Labor Induction Massage at Moonseed Massage & Bodywork
How Labor Induction Massage Works
Labor induction massage supports the body when it is already preparing for birth.
It does not force labor.
It encourages coordination.
When a woman is full term, hormones are shifting, baby is positioned, and the nervous system feels safe, the body often needs circulation, relaxation, and focused stimulation to move from “almost” into active labor.
Last week, two women received this session. Both went into labor within three hours. That does not always happen, but when the body is ready, it can respond quickly.
How This Session Can Help
My Moonseed Labor Induction Massage Protocol blends:
• Deep, nervous-system calming massage
• Targeted reflexology
• Gentle lymphatic drainage
• Supportive positioning and pillowing
• Intentional sequencing
• Respect for your body’s timing
Here’s why that matters:
1. Relaxation supports oxytocin flow.
Labor hormones rise when you feel safe and supported. Deep relaxation removes resistance and allows the body to coordinate.
2. Reflexology encourages uterine response.
Specific points correspond with reproductive organs and can help stimulate organized contractions when the body is ready.
3. Lymphatic support reduces stagnation.
Gentle drainage supports circulation and decreases swelling, helping tissues respond more efficiently.
4. Intentional sequencing matters.
This is not random pressure points. The order and pacing of the work is designed to move from calming → activating → integrating.
When to Book
This session is appropriate if:
• You are 39+ weeks
• Your provider has cleared you
• You are experiencing prodromal labor
• You feel “almost there”
• You want support before a scheduled medical induction
This work respects timing. If your body is not ready, we do not override that.
