Pregnancy Massage at Moonseed offers grounded, supportive bodywork for women trying to conceive, newly pregnant, deep into the third trimester, preparing for birth, recovering postpartum, or moving through pregnancy loss and grief.

These sessions create space for nourishment, circulation, hormonal balance, rest, connection, and the simple experience of feeling fully present in your own body.

They are often sought for relief from swelling, tension, exhaustion, changing posture, sleep disruption, and the many physical demands of the perinatal experience, while also offering dedicated time to nurture your wellbeing and your connection with yourself during a season of significant change.

  • Prenatal Massage supportive bodywork for the physical changes, tension, swelling, and nervous system demands that often accompany pregnancy*.

  • Labor Induction Massage late-pregnancy sessions intended to help the body settle, soften, and prepare for labor through supportive bodywork, reflexology, and acupressure techniques.

  • Postpartum Massage restorative bodywork to support recovery, exhaustion, nervous system regulation, and the physical demands of caring for a new baby.

  • Restorative Bodywork After Loss quiet, supportive bodywork for women moving through miscarriage, pregnancy loss, or grief.

My work is attentive, and experienced. Some sessions are more therapeutic and focused, while others offer space to simply relax.

*Supportive incline, side-lying positioning, cushioning, and thoughtful pacing are used throughout pregnancy to help the body feel more comfortable and at ease.

Moonseed Massage Lymphatic Drainage services are offered in Inverness, IL, serving the Northwest Suburbs including Inverness, Palatine, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Arlington Heights, and Barrington.

  • Yes. Many women continue or begin massage during the first trimester, though every pregnancy and medical history is different. If you have experienced recurrent loss, IVF, high-risk pregnancy, or have specific medical concerns, please reach out prior to scheduling so we can discuss what feels most appropriate and supportive for you.

  • Labor Induction-focused sessions are reserved for established Pregnancy Massage clients and are generally scheduled at full term beginning around 38 weeks.

    If you are new to Moonseed, it is required for you to schedule a FIRST TIME - Prenatal Massage session rather than booking induction-focused work as your first visit.

    This allows time to review your health history, establish care, and understand how your body responds to treatment before moving into more focused late-pregnancy support.

    These sessions may incorporate reflexology, acupressure, relaxation-focused massage, and supportive techniques intended to encourage readiness for labor. They are not intended to force labor or replace medical care.

  • Postpartum Massage can take place as soon as you feel comfortable enough to be on the table. For some women, this is within the first week or two after birth, while after a C-section it is often closer to 4–6 weeks depending on healing and comfort.

    Sessions are performed using semi-reclining and side-lying positioning until lying face down feels comfortable again.

    Postpartum bodywork may support common aches and pains associated with birth recovery, feeding posture, exhaustion, swelling, nervous system overwhelm, and the enormous physical demands of caring for a new baby. Sessions are intended to help the body feel more supported, rested, and settled during recovery.
